Roasted Spicy & Smoky Chickpeas.

Put down the bag of chips, step away from the candy, get your hands off the cookies..Just say NO! Here is an alternative that is not only enjoyable but healthy. I love how crunchy these are and all the different spices put your taste buds into overdrive! You can literally make this recipe in the blink of an eye (I’m exaggerating but for real it’s easy)


1 or 2 cans of Garbanzo Beans (chickpeas)
2 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 tsp of garlic salt
1/2 tsp of ground cumin
1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp of chili powder
Fresh cracked pepper
*keep in mind you can add as much or less of each spice as possible*


1. Preheat oven to 400•
2. Rinse and pat dry your chickpeas and get as much moisture out as you can
3. Spread the chickpeas out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
4. Roast the chickpeas for about 40-50 minutes
5. Check halfway by tasting one and if it’s no longer soft in the middle they are ready, but if not then allow to bake some more
6. When finished roasting immediately transfer to a bowl and mix in the olive oil and spices


I love the spicy flavor and who wouldn’t feel good about enjoying a healthy snack? Definitely make these and taste for yourself.
